Tracks `typical' of a genre????
Hi all, Newbie question time... I'm a bit unsure about the definitions of the various IDM genres (trance, hard trance, ambient, etc etc etc etc etc) and I'd like to be able to get some examples of each... I've got most of the WARP AI series, Amorph. Androg., Aphex, T.E.E., but I'd like to start getting into other areas (I used to buy loads of stuff c.1989-90). BasicallyI'd like to know how to classify the sounds that I'm creating (which I imagine are minimalist trance-type thangs).... This post has been sparked off by my recent purchase of the Spicelab EP, which I thought was rather good - even if it did make me think `I could do that'...! john.. -- .ATARI.st.CASIO.ht700.KORG.ex800.OSC.oscar.POWERTRAN.transcendent2000. .ROLAND.sh2.tr606.cr8000.SCI.sixtrak.YAMAHA.dx7ii.pf10. solo ContinuousEvolution with i.s.gibson: quanta/flex
